I think almost all of us have a pair of jeans in the closet that we never want to stop wearing. I at the university patched a few times that with so much thread I could have made 5 new ones, but they made me so happy… To let go of those I had to get other favorites and thus, history repeats itself, always.
If you have jeans that need another air, this is the perfect idea. It takes very little time to do it and you only need the following materials:
- 2 or 3 colors of acrylic or fabric paint
- Latex gloves
- Wide mouth container
- Old paper or cloth to avoid staining the work surface
Cover the work surface with enough paper so it doesn’t get stained. Although if a drop falls on the floor or table, clean with a damp cloth with a little fabulous immediately and surely there will be nothing left.
Stretch the jeans, depending on the area you want to paint, put on the latex glove and empty the paint that you are going to use first into the wide-mouthed container. You can use a different container for each color or wash a little after each painting.
Put your hand in the container (with the glove on) dipping your fingers into the paint and then “throw it” over the area you want to paint. Repeat this several times depending on the amount of paint and with the colors you want.
When you feel it is ready, let it dry for a couple of hours on the same surface.
Create a fun look with your new-old jeans and let everyone look at you wherever you go.
Would you dare to wear your jeans like that?
